How to play

You are a fish in a pond. Eat anything smaller than you to grow. Keep away from anything bigger, because it will eat you. Survive to the bell and you keep what you have won.

Take your time - nothing can eat you until you tap the button below.

Steering
Hold your thumb anywhere on the water and drag - the fish follows it. Lift to coast to a stop. On a computer, just move the mouse.
Prawn
A burst of speed for a few seconds.
Shell
Shrugs off one attack, so something bigger bounces off instead of eating you.
Ink
You vanish for a few seconds and the other fish lose sight of you.
Urchin
Avoid it. Swim into one and you shrink and lose a little.

A free test round with play money. Nothing here costs anything.

The water fights back

Play carefully and the pond leaves you alone. Run away with a round and a hunter comes looking for you.

Eat fish all game while dodging every player and a shark takes an interest instead. Both match your speed, so turn sharply or grab the ink to shake them.

Hold anywhere and drag

Your thumb steers the fish. Lift to stop.

Turn the phone sideways to see more water.

HOW IT WORKS

Eat smaller fish. Don't get chomped.

Steering

· On a phone, hold anywhere and drag. Your thumb is the stick, and the fish follows it. Lift to coast to a stop.
· On a computer, move the mouse and the fish swims towards the pointer.
· You carry momentum. Turning costs speed, and hitting the edge costs more, so plan a turn before you need it.
· Turn a phone sideways to see more water.

Eating and growing

+ You can eat anything slightly smaller than you - under 96% of your size.
! Anything 5% bigger can eat you. Its name shows in red with a warning glow.
= Every mouthful grows you. Wild fish are food rather than wages: they make you bigger, which is how you become able to take players.

The money

· Your entry becomes the bounty on your head. A $1 table means a $1 head.
+ Eat a player and you take 55% of their head. A quarter of that is banked safely at once; the rest rides on your head.
− Get eaten and you keep 20% of your head, banked, and your round ends.
= Survive to the bell and you keep everything on your head.
= Bank out early and you walk away with 60% - useful when you are ahead and hunted.
! Park still and your bounty slowly leaks into the pond. The clear leader also pays a small levy every few seconds.
! Whatever leaks comes back as a golden fish - eat it and the whole pot is yours.

Pickups - worth crossing the pond for

Prawn - a dash of speed for 4 seconds. Pushes you 55% faster, enough to close a gap or break away from something chasing you.
Scallop shell - a shell for 3 seconds. Shrugs off one attack, so something bigger can hit you and bounce off instead of eating you.
Ink - you vanish for 5 seconds. The other fish lose sight of you entirely, and anything hunting you gives up the chase for good.
Urchin - the one thing to avoid. Costs you $0.10 and shrinks you to 88% of your size. Five drift in the pond at any time, and they are drawn cold and dull on purpose: nothing about them is worth collecting.

Each pickup pays $0.10 and grows you as much as a fish would. The house funds them, not the other players.

The pond fights back - Hard and Brutal only

Hunter - a wild fish with a pulsing red glow, sent after whoever is running away with the round. Pull further ahead and more arrive, up to five at once on Brutal.
Shark - steel grey with a cold ring, and it opens its jaws as it closes on you. A shark comes for anyone who eats fish all game while dodging every player.
= Both swim at 90% of your speed and have to swing wide to turn, so a sharp turn buys distance. Ink loses them completely.
· Neither appears on Amateur or Medium.

The other fish

· Amateur - 70% speed, ignores people entirely, flees weakly. For your first games.
· Medium - 80% speed, will chase a player for a second or two before losing interest.
· Hard - 85% speed, hunts properly, dodges anything bigger. Hunters and sharks appear.
· Brutal - full speed, takes the pickups itself, eats to outgrow you, aims where you are going rather than where you are, and once it is bigger it comes straight for you. Several at once.

Demo and real

· Every account starts on demo money - $100 of play money, topped back up whenever you ask.
· Demo bots stay gentle: Amateur for your first 15 rounds, then Medium, and never harder. No hunters, no sharks.
· Real money unlocks after 10 rounds, along with deposits and withdrawals.
! Demo and real never mix. A table is one or the other, and play money can never win real money.
· Real balances are held in dollars. Ether or USDC is only how money moves in and out; the dollar figure you see is fixed when a deposit lands.
· Withdrawals are checked by a person before they are sent, so they are not instant.

Playing for real money carries risk. Please read the Terms of Service, which cover age limits, responsible play, and how money moves in and out.

TERMS OF SERVICE

Please read this before playing for real money.

Adults only

! You must be 18 or over to play for real money. By continuing you confirm that you are.
! It is your responsibility to know whether real money gaming is lawful where you are. If it is not permitted, do not play for real money here.

This is gambling

! Real money rounds are a wager. You can lose everything you stake, and most players lose over time.
! The house keeps a small share of every round, so the odds do not favour you in the long run. No amount of skill changes that.
! Never stake money you cannot comfortably afford to lose. Do not play with money meant for rent, food, bills, or anyone who depends on you.
! Do not play to recover losses. Chasing a loss is how a small one becomes a large one.
! Do not play while drunk, upset, or under pressure to win.
= There is a full demo mode with play money. If you are unsure, play there. It costs nothing and plays the same.

Staying in control

· Decide what you are willing to lose before you start, and stop when you reach it.
· Take regular breaks. Rounds are short and it is easy to lose track of how many you have played.
· Your whole history is on your account - use it to see what you have actually won and lost rather than trusting memory.
· If playing stops being enjoyable, stop. If you think you may have a problem with gambling, seek help from a support service in your country, and ask for your account to be closed.

Money in and out

· Balances are shown and settled in dollars. Deposits arrive as ether or USDC and are converted to dollars at the rate when they land.
! Blockchain transfers are irreversible. Send only the asset named, on the network named. Anything sent on another network, or to the wrong address, may be impossible to recover.
· Network fees are charged by the blockchain, not by us, and are deducted from what moves.
· Withdrawals are reviewed by a person before being sent and are not instant. The amount leaves your balance while it waits, and is returned in full if it is refused.
· Deposits and withdrawals unlock after 10 rounds.

Accounts and fair play

· One account per person. Do not share an account or play on someone else's.
· Do not use automation, scripts, or modified clients. Results are decided on the server, and accounts found interfering with play may be closed.
· Some fish at a table are operated by the house. This is normal and disclosed: the house plays from its own accounts, pays the same entry, and wins or loses like anyone else.
· Every round is recorded, including what each player paid, won and lost, so a disputed result can be checked.

The service itself

· The game is provided as it is, without any guarantee of availability. Rounds may be interrupted by maintenance or a fault.
· If a round cannot be completed, stakes still on the table are returned to the accounts that paid them.
· Rules, rates and the house share may change. Material changes will be reflected here.
! Nothing here is investment advice, and a balance in this game is not a deposit with a bank or any protected account.
